I'm Dov Waterman — a composer, sound designer, educator, and creative coach working with electronic and cinematic music that explores cycles of tension and release, movement and stillness. I'm drawn to the quieter moments — the space where an idea begins to surface before it's fully formed.
I'm classically trained as a pianist and began my professional career performing internationally, including touring with BBC World Music Award winners MOMO. I compose and design sound for media, working with publishers across the UK and the US. I also produce and collaborate on new media and experimental projects across the music sphere.
My work has included music and sound design for numerous blockbuster trailers including Transformers: The Last Knight and as Above So Below. .
Alongside composing, I work deeply in sound design and sample library development — focusing on detail, texture, and the elements that shape how music is felt as much as heard. Partners have included Native Instruments, Sonokinetic, Novation, and Arturia.
Over time, this attention to process and listening led me into education and mentorship. I've taught composition, production, and creative practice across higher-education and professional settings — which sharpened my interest in how ideas form, where they stall, and what helps people trust and complete their work.
That same inquiry now underpins my work as a creative coach. I support musicians and composers in understanding their creative process from the inside out — learning to listen more deeply, loosen the grip of judgement, and create with greater clarity, continuity, and confidence.
