Phase 03 — Creating
Sessions 6–10
The third phase is about sustained output from the deeper place. The critic has been examined, the signal has been clarified, the resistance has been met. Now the work becomes about building something — finishing it, committing to it, sending it out.
This is not about productivity. It's about what it feels like to create from completeness rather than urgency, from a stable foundation rather than constant pressure.
What happens in this phase
Session 6 — Embodying the Voice
Bringing everything into the body, where it all emanates from.
Guest practitioner Laura Donohue joins for this session. Voice educator and transformational coach, she brings sound, body, and presence into the same room. The practice moves from listening and understanding into embodiment — something felt as much as known.
Session 7 — Designing Your Creative System
Vision, your one thing, and the habits that carry it.
Working backwards from completeness — what does the finished work look like, and what daily and weekly rhythm actually supports getting there? This session builds the structure that holds the creative work in real life, not in ideal conditions.
Session 8 — Declaring the Work
Naming what you're finishing, and committing to it out loud.
Not perfectly, but honestly. There is something specific that shifts when you say what you're making in front of others. This session is about that commitment — naming the work, knowing it will be heard.
Session 9 — Giving & Receiving Feedback
Reflective feedback that moves the work forward.
A structured approach to feedback: what happened, what I like, what I wish, what if. Not critique in the traditional sense — something more useful. Feedback that keeps the maker in contact with their own instincts rather than displacing them.
Session 10 — The Transmission
Closing the loop. Sending the work out, and what carries forward.
The final session. The project has been named, worked on, and developed across ten weeks. Now it goes out. And something is understood about what this practice has built — not just in the music, but in the maker.
What you're building
A completed piece of work and a creative system that outlasts the programme. The shift from knowing how to create to actually creating, consistently, from the inside out.
"Not finishing things because you should, but because the work itself is pulling you forward."
